Sun Kim, Ph.D.

Intern, Immune Boost Capital

Sun Kim joins Immune Boost Capital as an intern, bringing a research background in oncology and translational science. Sun graduated from the University of Chicago and subsequently worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.

Doctoral Research

Sun pursued Ph.D. training in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology program at Stony Brook University, conducting research in Dr. David Tuveson's laboratory at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.

Sun completed the Ph.D. in May 2026, with a focus on oncology, and in particular pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, or PDAC.

Research Focus

Sun's research centers on understanding the biology of pancreatic cancer and translating those insights toward new approaches for patients.

That work reflects a broader commitment to translational science, where laboratory discovery is connected to real clinical need.

At Immune Boost Capital

At IBC, Sun is eager to continue building expertise and contributing to translational research, helping identify and advance promising early-stage science.
